GOALS
When elected to serve as the State Senator for District 24, Sue Durichko is committed to pursuing the following goals:
Advocating for Seniors: Sue will work to enhance support services for seniors, including access to affordable healthcare, housing options, and social programs that promote independence and quality of life.
Protecting Healthcare Decision Rights: Sue will advocate for legislation that safeguards the rights of individuals to make healthcare decisions in consultation with their doctors, ensuring privacy and autonomy in medical matters. She will work to uphold the doctor-patient relationship as sacrosanct and protect the confidentiality of medical information, advocating for policies that prevent interference from outside entities in private healthcare decisions.
Improving Healthcare: Sue will prioritize efforts to make healthcare more accessible and affordable for all Ohioans, advocating for policies that expand coverage, lower prescription drug costs, and improve the quality of care.
Supporting Workers: Sue will champion legislation that protects workers' rights, ensures fair wages, and promotes safe working conditions. She will advocate for policies that strengthen job training programs and create opportunities for career advancement.
Investing in Education: Sue will advocate for increased funding for public schools, addressing any necessary improvements to the current system as well as initiatives to support educators and improve student outcomes. She will work to expand access to early childhood education and ensure that all students have the resources they need to succeed.
Promoting Economic Growth: Sue will support initiatives that stimulate economic development, create jobs, and attract investment to District 24. She will work to support small businesses, revitalize local communities, and promote sustainable growth.
Protecting the Environment: Sue will prioritize environmental conservation efforts, advocating for policies that address climate change, protect natural resources, and promote clean energy initiatives. She will work to ensure a sustainable future for Ohio's environment and communities.
Fostering Transparency and Accountability: Sue will promote transparency and accountability in government, advocating for open and honest communication with constituents and working to eliminate corruption and unethical behavior in politics.
